Dentures! help?
I need a little bit more information. When did you get the dentures? When were your lower teeth removed? When is your follow up appointment with your dentist?
Reply:U should wear them 2 days. before u go to the dentist for your adjustment (u should have one scheduled but if u don't call and tell them u need a adjustment). The reason u need to wear them for 2 days before is to create a sore spot, where their hurting, so your dentist knows where to adjust. Be patience, get adjustment and they will get allot better
Reply:You feel uncomfortable since you just got your denture.. This is a common scenario don't worry.. after few weeks of using it, you'll get used to it %26amp; be more comfortable.. Mouth sores is so common for a new dentures since your mouth hasn't yet adjusted from it.. To avoid the mouth sores, always remember to take the dentures off in the evening.

Try to use betadine gargle using a cotton swab in the area where your sore was to heal it.. You can also use an ointment intented for mouth sores (just ask the pharmacist whats ideal for your age, conditions for it would differ in types of needs).. %26amp; one more thing, try to visit your dentist too so your dentist can check the site where you have sores to make it less pressured to avoid inaccurance of the sores in the same area as well.

By the way, for you to get used to your new denture, try to place a candy inside your mouth that can help a lot.. in few days you'll realized you're more comfortable now with your new denture..
