Dentures help?

new dentures make my top lip look fat can they trim it so idoesnt look swollen and it show the top of the gum when i smile so you can tell that there false teeth

Dentures help?
Why would you want people to know here false when you smile??? But yes they can trimit down so your lip dosen't look so swollen but having it cut down enough to show your gums might cause them to be to short and you would lose suction and they'd fall out, people would know thier false then HUH!
Reply:It make you think its big. Went through the same thing. Makes you feel like Mr. Ed I know. You will get used to it.

I got mine a year ago and still can't wear mine.

Your gums are probably still swollen too.
Reply:I had no teeth at all for almost a year before I got mine, and I never did get used to them, so I don't wear them. I think they're still at my parents' house in a drawer somewhere....I got them when I was 15.
Reply:You do not say how new the dentures are. I suggest you wait until most of the swelling has gone down and you have had a few relines or adjustments. Make you dentist aware of your concerns. Sometimes they can re contour the dentures so they are less bulky. It is a big adjustment and you are very aware and self concious of everything that is going on with your dentures.

Not everyone is that observant and in most cases, unless they know what they are looking at, they probably would not assoicate your appearance with dentures.

Take it one day at a time.
