I only have three options.my teeth with pain, implants or crowns which i cant afford or dentures. Are full dentures that bad.

Is it that bad to have full dentures.?
I don't have full dentures, only my top teeth are fake. my survuring 9 teeth on the bottom are real. Dentures are not all that bad like everybody makes it out to be. I have had faked teeth since I was 12 years old. I'm now in my 40's. Every couple of years you might have to get them relined. (cuz your gums wear down over the years) I have friends that tell me of ya can't eat corn on the cob or apples with faked teeth, that's bull. I can eat anything with or without my teeth including steak. I have had fake teeth for a long time nor have I ever had to have them relined. When I had my teeth removed (they were not worth saving) I had sutures for about 3 weeks in my mouth, after they were removed they put my teeth in, they have been tight fitting sense. Now some people have there teeth taken out and there detures put right in, it seems those are the ones who have to have them relined later on, cuz ya gums are still swollen, mine they were healed before they put them in. Either way, it's up to you to do what you think is best. If you can save your teeth then try and save them if not talk it over with your dentist. There's new things that can be done to your teeth instead of pulling them out, but don't live in pain. That's just crazy. Good Luck.... p.s. alot of people don't even know I have dentures, they fit so well in my mouth that nobody can tell, unless I tell them. Then they say no way, prove it. when I do their left with their mouths open.
Reply:depends really on your age. With dentures, over time, your jaw bone begins to deteriorate and your chin begins to recede, it takes a while, so when you are older it isn't so noticeable, but younger people who get them often end up looking twice their age before they really have to. If you can find any way to afford repair to your own teeth, you are miles ahead.
Reply:i'm 41 ,look kinda young still and teeth were painful! Dentures is only way to go.No pain gettin' em ,either. Rod
Reply:maybe you can get them bonded

thats the cheapest relief from tooth pain
