I'm getting dentures soon because I lost four of my teeth in a car crash and I'm quite nervous.?

Do any teenagers here have dentures?Do you have to take them out when you sleep? How are they attached? Is kissing possible? Im just very worried because ive never had any dental work needed before. Id appreciate any help.

My aunt just got new dentures. She said they hurt at first, and she had a difficult time eating. However, now that she's used to them, she loves them.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but try to look at the bright side. You're about to have perfectly beautiful, white teeth.

I wish you the best of luck!
Reply:try to think of all the good things that happen don't worry if you worry to much it will be bad so calm do yoga
Reply:don't worry at all

you wil be pleased with the results %26amp; will be smiling all the time

over 40% of the population have either dentures or some sort of cosmetic crowns, caps, bridges, the list goes on %26amp; on.
Reply:no dentist would do dentures on a kid that lost 4 teeth. are you sure you're not getting a 'flipper' which is a retainer like thing with plastic teeth attached?

dentures require having ALL of your teeth pulled out and plastic dentures put in. but it would help to know exactly what you are getting so i can answer your question properly.

if it is a flipper, you should take it out when you sleep. this gives your tissues a rest and helps prevent infections from starting under the flipper. you should also take it out when you eat. they are not attached. kissing is possible.

your dentist will give you specific instructions.
