Help with dentures?

I just got dentures after having all my teeth extracted. It has only been five days. I have sore spots on my gums that the dentures irritate the hell out of, especially when I take them in and put them in. What is teh best medication to heal the sore spots and sooth them?

Help with dentures?
Call the Dentist so he can relieve the Denture. This will not going to go away until he does. Now after he relieves the Denture salt warm water rinses will help. But you have to go to him it shouldn't cost anything and you will not get relief until the dentist adjusts the denture. After extractions and from the remainder of wearing the denture your tissues change bone changes they will need to be reline some day because of these changes.
Reply:I think that swishing with salt water is supposed to help with healing sores in the mouth.

Anbesol is a liquid or gel topical pain reliever, most drug stores have it.
Reply:try any teething gels bonjela for instance and try to let your gums settle down a bit you could also use salt and water or a decent mouth wash to promote healing
Reply:Benzodent will help with the discomfort until you can get back to your dentist. It has a numbing agent and will cushion your gums.

Call your dentist for an adjustment first thing tomorrow so he can relieve these sore spots before he closes for Thanksgiving.

It will probably take several visits to have them fitting properly. But it is expected and included in the denture fee. Don't feel you are making a pest of yourself.

Have a happy turkey day!!!
Reply:First you must go to the dentist to get the dentures adjusted. The sore spots won't ever get better until your dentures are just right, and the fee for adjustments should have been included in the extraction/denture fee. After adjustment, warm salt water rinses 2-3 times a day really help.
