I had 9 teeth pulled and immediate dentures put in on thurs this morning the pain was so bad when i tried to put them in I cried for 3 hours before i got them in with the help of ice packs(they are wonderful btw) but how long does this continue ? Am i doomed to cry myself awake every morning from the pain for weeks or is this gonna get better soon ??!!And will the stitches start to hurt as bad ??
How long will new dentures HURT?
probably for another week but it shoule get better everyday. If they continue to hurt, sometimes you need to go back to the dentist a few times and have them adjust the dentures, eveyone usually goes through that. Right now, your gums are swollen so its not comfortable, when they go down they will get better. Take some pain relief and rinse with warm salt water. The stitches will not hurt, are they desolvable? Anyways, they are nothing compared to what you been through, and right now is the worse time. You could also call the dentist and let them know what your feeling, he would want you to call to be sure, good luck!
