Temp dentures question?

I am going in soon to get my top teeth extracted. I am told I can get same day temp dentures, and in 10 weeks, get permenent ones. My insurance pays for all except the temps. How much am I looking to spend, and wheres a resonable and affordable place to go? I live in Ohio. Thank you!

Temp dentures question?
I agree with the DMD, but I will add that a full upper denture in my office is $1150, and extractions are $108 each.

We don't make 'temporary' dentures... we remove the teeth and insert the permanent denture... after six months (or so), the patient comes back in for a reline, since the gums have shrunk due to the healing process.

The patient is welcome to come in for any adjustments necessary, and those visits are included in the denture fee.

You may want to call around to get price quotes from different offices, and ask them to send in a pre-treatment estimate so both you and the office will have an idea about your out-of-pocket expenses.

Hope this helped!

Reply:Sorry you have been misslead!! you can't get permanent detures for at least 6 months as the gums will still be shrinking. The temps will be fine but may need a temp reline if the get to loose. Done thousands of them in 32 yrs. I don't know of any reasonable fees anymore. DMD here
