I am 29, have reflex sympathetic dystrophy and yrs on medications have KILLED my teeth. Some molars are cracking, near the gums are getting bad and I cannot under ANY circumstance pay for each tooth to be fixed. PLUS if i fixed each bad tooth (just about all of them) whats to say in a few yrs they dont end up in this shape again.
There is NO cure for RSD, I just got approved for Social security disability and getting back pay which implanning on putting some toward my teeth. Some dentists are leary of doing dentures on someone of my age but i WILL find one who will do them.
I basically need all of my teeth pulled, a few are gone already and some are just in horrible shape. So id have to have them ALL taken out and have to have dentures put in.
How hard is it to get used to dentures? I know id do it so theyd do the mold and id come back so id have them taken out n have dentures in same day. I know it will be painful but better in long run. Is it hard to get used to fake teeth.? thx!
How hard is it to get used to dentures? esp if your 'young' like me?
I had mine pulled thursday and dentures put in at this point my thoughts are ARRGGGG! However I have to say it is a bit (only a bit ) better today but when i look in the mirror and see these teeth and look at my before photos YES it's totally worth it i'm smiling through the pain and I will continue to smile I have 5 years of lost self esteem that was totally given back to me and I LOVE it ! Ouch ouch :)
