if your real teeth still remain, you shld consult doctor for advice to save your own teeth instead thinking of getting denture. it's not cheap and it so tough to adapt to something fake in your mouth. u will feel uncomfortable and if the denture doesnt fit in, while u talking. it will flew out, that cause embarassment. seek for cure for your own teeth. take care
Reply:Definately try to save your own natural teeth, if possible. Aside from that, my other recommendation would be to save at least 2 upper teeth, and two lower teeth (a set on each side of your mouth) to serve as anchor points for partial dentures. That way you can avoid the dentures falling out at in-opportune times. Otherwise, you may have to use a denture adhesive, which feels really gross when you first apply it. Also, when all of the teeth are gone, the nerve along the jaw bones doesn't get the chewing sensation anymore, and the bone begins to atrophy. This means that the bones beneath your gums which would support the dentures begins shrinking. After some time, usually within 5 to 10 years, you'll get what's called "flappy gums" (no kidding) and you'll no longer be able to wear dentures at all. Keeping at least two uppers and two lowers will keep the nerve functioning correctly, thereby preventing bone loss. Hope this helps.
Reply:keep your own teeth if at all possible and do the work to savwe them there is nothing like the real thing..I thought I wanted the beautiful teeth and mine were bad, well mine weren't really all that bad and even though I've spent 3,000 in 3 yrs I wish so much I had done veneers and whatever else I needed to have the mouth I wanted..eating is no fun, dining out is no fun, kissing will never be what it used to false teeth just plain suck unless you have no other choice..wish someone had told me
