How to whiten dentures?
You cant change the color of the teeth, that shade is picked when the dentures are made. Though if you are wanting to just brighten them and remove stain try using a denture cleaner or most dental offices has a denture cleaner that they can use on them to help remove stain. If you are wanting whiter teeth in the denture you would have to have a new set made.
Reply:First off... it depends on the reasons behind the shade. When your dentures were made, your Dental assistant took a shade of the color that you wanted. If she didnt ask and just picked one herself...SHAME ON HER!! Now, if she did and YOU picked it...then you should have picked a lighter color. Cause once the denture has been 'cooked'.. you cant change it. They should have explained that to you.





**Honestly, i see the this EVERYDAY, people coming in and asking/sometimes demanding us to change the color. Plain and simple, we cant! Proper care, keeps them clean and keeps the original color.... i wouldnt waste my money on whiteners, it isnt gonna work!





Now, if your denture was lighter and now its darker... its stained. 2 things again: One you didnt clean them, like you should have. Dentures are like regular teeth... YOU HAVE TO CLEAN THEM!


If you dont, they stain just like regular teeth do. Once they have been stained, GOOD LUCK! Changing that color lighter again, is gonna be tough if possible at all. Yes, there are cleaners out there on the market. But those cleaners are meant to be used EVERYDAY, like normal teeth. They are NOT meant to used every few weeks..months, even.. and expected to brighten them back to there original color. It's just NOT going to happen. And yes, we have cleaners in office... BUT AGAIN, we dont work miracles. We can get some things off. But stains, AGAIN... that have been there for a long period of time, because someone hasnt taken care of them like they should be... WILL NOT whiten! No matter what we do! You'll have to get a new one....
