What happens to someone's mouth when they get dentures?

does the dentist do something weird to make it flat inside? or pull some teeth out? or take anything else out before someone gets dentures? Does anyone besides elderly people have dentures?

What happens to someone's mouth when they get dentures?
The dentist first does an aveoplasty (after your teeth are gone) which is where they file you jaw line so that way when your gums heal, they have that smooth look to them. It helps the dentures fit better. And yes people of all ages get dentures, the youngest is like 7 years old or something, he didn't have any teeth when he was born, so he had to go the denture route.
Reply:Of course you have to have your teeth pulled first. You are better off getting dentures at the same time, your gums are still soft %26amp; you end up with a better fit. The Dentist sticks some thick paste on a tray and seats it over your exposed gums to make an impression. With a good fit the dentures remain in place by a vacuum. As your gums receed over time, you need a realignment or PolyGrip. Anybody that has lousey permanent teeth can get dentures, a cheaper way than multiple crowns, etc.
Reply:with dentures all teeth doees not have to be pulled and not only ''old people'' have them if your gigiva tissue has receeded or you have bad paradontal desiese witch is just nothing you can do about you or i can get it but measures can be taken before you have to result in dentures. their are other ways to have ""dentures other than that plastic peace that everyone has a mith about their are new persedures that can be done mimmal to no pain
