Is it normal to have excess saliva while dentures are out?

I am a new denture wearer, and I know in the beginning people say you experience excess saliva with the dentures in, but I notice it while they're not in my mouth. Will this stop? I feel like I have to keep swallowing every 10 seconds, and my mouth/tongue

actually gets tired! Thanks!

It sounds like you have a very active salivary production and maybe having dentures has stimulated it even more. I truly don't know if this will lessen with time, but I must say from seeing the problems many denture wearers have with dry mouth.....I'd rather have your problem.
Reply:i also am new to the dentures just got mine June 12,,i have same situation so I'm thinking its normal adjusting to them ,i did call and ask them and that's what they said ,i haven't been able to bite down on any food yet have you,you can e mail me and compare notes on this ...good luck.
