My grandmother smokes and drinks a lot of coffee, her dentures, are kind of dingy is there anything that she can use to clean them. And yes she brush them everyday.
Help with dingy Dentures?
baking soda. tell her to soak them in baking soda and water overnight! good luck!
Reply:Good old baking soda and peroxide. Scrub
em up.
Reply:I seen this on a commercial, it's like a product she could buy at a local CVS or Walgreens. If you look at the box in the isles they will tell you but she has to soke them for like 8 hours (overnight) and brush them in the morning and day by day they will get whiter Good luck!
Reply:There are a lot of products for teeth whitening. I used Rembrandt, one with a mouth guard thing, but there are others. Have her try that. There are also some tooth pastes that whiten too.
Reply:There are several good denture cleaners on the market that you should be able to find at most pharmacies. Also some of the whitening toothpastes as well as just plain ole peroxide and baking soda may help.
If these aids don't improve them as much as you'd like it may be time to speak to your dentist about a new and improved set of dentures. Real advancements have been made over the last several years in the techniques for constructing quality, life like dentures.
Reply:I agree with Monica and CrazyD. good ole baking soda and peroxide. No reason to waste money on a bunch of fancy stuff that half the time doesn't work. I work for a beauty supply store and we sell a lot of stuff that works okay but natural things would work better. I also use a paste made of baking soda and peroxide to brush my teeth. Works as well as anything the dentist could use.
