Anyone know of a way to get dentures with little or no dental insurance?

I want to get dentures, but my insurance will not cover them because they are considered "cosmetic". Does anyone know of any programs that can help me? I could afford some form of monthly payment but not the total cost all at once.

Anyone know of a way to get dentures with little or no dental insurance?
Go to a dental school. Even if you have to travel, it's well worth it.

My insurance didn't cover my root canal. I went to USC dental school and had it done for free.
Reply:My wife goes to the dental school at the university UBC Vancouver BC
Reply:i think this debend on you if you have a brother or acousine that work in dentistry so it make adenture to you with the coast of the lab only i think it is will be good
Reply:If you are in the US, I don't know of any insurance clause that would call dentures "cosmetic" if you are missing a number of teeth. Since you don't say where you are from, it's hard to say what insurance outside the US might allow.

In some states, licensed Denturists can make dentures without a dentist on-site. They are considerably less expensive than seeing a dentist.

Of course, a Denturist is not a doctor and cannot screen for diseases of the mouth.

In 1946, Congress passed a law that gave hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities grants and loans for construction and modernization. In return, they agreed to provide a reasonable volume of services to persons unable to pay and to make their services available to all persons residing in the facility’s area. The program stopped providing funds in 1997, but about 300 health care facilities nationwide are still obligated to provide free or reduced-cost care.

Reply:Go to http://www.EveryoneBenefits.com/tiltont. This is Ameriplan dental Plans. Plans start at 11.95 a month per person and 19.95 a household. This includes everybody in the household even if your not related. You can check the providers and see how much they cover. This is not insurance you can get started and go to the dentist right away. You can also cancel when you like, there is no contract. Hope this helps you as much as it has me.
Reply:"Affordable Dentures.com" they claim to be reasonable and offer payments other than that you might go to a University Dental college where the Dental students can offer reasonalbe priced care.
Reply:I know of a great dental plan that will save you up to 80% and is only $11.95 a month. It covers cosmetic as well.
