Donate dentures to charity?

This is a serious question, so no cute answers please. Is there an organization that can use good dentures for a charitable program. I have 3 like new sets.

Donate dentures to charity?
Considering dentures are made from an impression of the gums I am not sure they can be donated. I bet the Salvation Army would know though cause I see many people out there with no teeth. I am an advocate by trade and I always try to tactfully ask people of I could be of assistance i helping them to get teeth. Maybe the material could be resused. Also I would try a Denture lab, there are a few in Fresno.
Reply:my goodness

i've heard of hand-me-down clothes

but never of hand-me-down dentures

i should know

my mom is a dentist.....

keep it, pls.
Reply:you won't be able to donate dentures - they were made to fit the contours of your own mouth - so it's not going to fit someone else. Plus - I doubt anyone would want 2nd hand dentures - it's a bit gross.
